Below is a sample of what a typical day's menu is like for our students. We serve breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
Breakfast - Eggs & Biscuits, 100% Apple Juice, 2% Milk
Lunch - Meat Loaf, Mashed Poatoes w/gravy, Diced Peaches, Carrot sticks, Dinner Roll, 2% MIlk
Snack - Yogurt, Vanilla Wafers, 100% Cherry Juice
The day school participates in the state nutrition program and we ensure that our students receive a well balanced diet while in our care. Our meals are served family style and children are encouraged to serve themselves. Breakfast and lunch are served in the school cafeteria. Afternoon snacks are served in in the classroom.
Due to some children having allegeries we have discontinued the use of nut products in our menu planning. When a child has an allergy a sign is posted in the child's classroom and at the child's meal table.
