Celebrating Missions Involvement at Temple:

In the absence of a Full-time Pastor, Temple Baptist Church has continued to be involved in Missions in our church family and surrounding community.  By giving of ourselves with our time, talents, and finances, we have been able to continue to serve God and share His word and gospel with others.  Let’s take a few minutes to reflect on a few of these accomplishments:

1. Urban Ministries Monthly Food Collections – we've given several hundred pounds of food to hungry families in Wake County over the past few months.

2. NC Food Bank – our Youth has worked on several occasions to help sort and shelve food for the needy.

3. Durham Rescue Mission – our Youth also worked hard to provide a nicer Christmas to those in need in Durham.

4. Thomasville Children’s Home - we generously provided Christmas gifts, food, fellowship, and the true meaning of Christmas for children from the Baptist Children's Home. 

5. Birthday Parties at Women’s Correctional Facility - We've hosted a Birthday Party with activities, snacks, and devotions for the women who have birthdays in April. 

6. 2010 Summer Mission Projects - we worked together with several Agencies in our community to provide services to those in need including donating food to Urban Ministries and helping to sort the items, giving to and thanking our Police and Firemen and women who protect and serve us, helped children from Salvation Army to shop for school supplies from Target, and other community events.

7. Youth Christmas - our Youth organized a Christmas Party, purchased gifts, provided food, and fellowshipped with needy families in our Day School and community to help them celebrate the Christmas season.

8. Thanksgiving Dinner for International Students - we've invited a group of International Students from NC State and shared a traditional Thanksgiving meal with them along with giving them the historical and Christian meanings of Thanksgiving.

9. Missionary Offerings - through generous giving, we've been able to continue to support International, North American, and North Carolina missionaries.

Thank you to all those who have been involved in doing missions and sharing Christ's gospel with those who need to hear it and feel it!!  We can continue to serve Him in many ways!!
